The Flypack

So, you have an event coming up that you don't necessarily want to broadcast... but you still want a solid multiple-camera production?

Let's say you've been doing a National Dance Competition (or a Dance Performance) for years, you've had videos made before... but the post-production took way too long... and you're really not sure how you can "up" the production value for your guests.

That's where the Flypack comes in.
HD1 Live Mobile Solutions for the Western United States - Live Video Production and Broadcast
HD1 Live Mobile Television focuses on making, live television - which means we like to avoid post-production (even though we can and will if the client needs it [through our partners]). We've had countless clients talk to us about how their project can't wait for a one-week or a two-week turnaround... it needs to be now... and with HD1 Live Mobile Television Production, we can meet that demand.
With the example mentioned above - not only do we bring in the camera positions (generally up to 6 cameras), we also bring in all of the grip gear, jibs, dollies, track, lighting, and sound needed to make your event rock!

From there, the cameras feed into the Flypack system - to where we can switch video, and record, as well as stream over the internet - all from within the Flypack.
Once the show is over, we can immediately make the finished production available on your web-site available for download, Youtube, Social Media... or duplicate and distribute DVD's on-site, right at your venue! (Up to 100 DVD's p/hour, standard [w/ larger capacities available up to 1000 DVD's p/hour!]).

Streaming: It's not just a webcam anymore...

A lot of people, before they become clients of ours, held a common misunderstand that "Streaming" was something you do with music... or something that only a web-cam could do!
... even though those are some things you could do with "Streaming" - today's technology has opened the doors to a wave a new concepts and ideas. Streaming via IP, or Web - allows the client to directly feed (from a server) content to an individual... either on-demand, or Live. That content which you stream could be a single camera... but with HD1 Mobile Television Production... we're actually taking a full-scale, multiple-camera, High Definition production... and streaming it, to the clients locations of choosing!
Think of it this way. We watch Netflix, or Amazon Instant Video... on-demand... streaming. Why not do the same for your next project?
The same technology which is used in those on-demand applications, is actually available to you (the client) through HD1 Mobile Productions... for your next project!

Here's the best example: You're promoting/producing a concert. It is a brand new, up-and-coming band that has a strong social media presence... is engaging Twitter and Facebook followers... has a couple music videos already produced... and is about to take the stage in a few weeks on a limited tour.
... why not work with your already adoring fans and make that concert available to them, in a Live High-Definition Broadcast engagement?

The "Second" Vision Mix

11/26/2014

Clients have recently asked to have us better explain what a "Second" Vision Mix really details... and why it's important.

Essentially, having a "Second" or a "Third" and even a "Fourth" Vision Mix - can many times make or break a Broadcast/Production (from and aesthetic and professional standpoint). Why? Simply put - each Mix is just that... it is a creative choice made by the TD (Technical Director), Director, or in certain circumstances, the Client - as to what image/camera/element will be displayed, Live, within that mix.
Still having trouble?
Let us use a simple 6-Camera Shoot (otherwise known as a Multi-Camera Shoot). Each one of those camera positions, feeds back to the truck to then be "mixed" or "switched" to create a visually appealing presentation for Broadcast, Streaming Applications, or DVD/Media Recording.... all in real time (or, Live).

... when we run a "Second" Vision Mix, we're essentially taking the same feed that the first Vision Mix/Switcher is receiving - and mixing/switching the camera inputs (or graphics) in an entirely different visual presentation.
Here's a scenario, using the same 6-Camera Shoot.
The Client wants us (HD1 Live Mobile Television Production) to Stream a Live Multi-Camera shoot to their web-site while serving-up Pay-Per-View functions, as well as provide Audience Augmentation via High Definition Projector/Screen Combinations within the venue.

... for the sake of simplicity - the genre/type of event, is a comedy-tour.

Camera Positions 1 and 2, are instructed to always have a Tight-Shot, and a Medium-Shot - where Camera Positions 3 through 5 can be open for direction, audience reaction, and so on... with Camera Position Number 6, being a wide cover-shot (Perhaps one of our Jony-Jib's taking nice, wide, sweeping shots of the audience, stage, and talent).
